Now, researchers from the University of Staffordshire use age progression software to show how women face when he quit smoking, and what if he did not want to quit smoking. The study, funded by Stoke-on-Trent Primary Care Trust are considered quite successful, at least to see two-thirds of the 47 female participants said they would quit smoking as a direct consequence.

"In general, the woman was very concerned with the influence of aging on their faces, and specifically how the additional effect of smoking on their skin," says project leader, Professor Sarah Grogan.

Of course, research does not stop there. Tim Grogan plans to re-evaluate the participants within six months, to determine the success of this technique. However, early feedback proves that this technology should be used more widely to prevent the increasing number of smokers.

"Many have experienced physical shock reaction, one of them is sick, when I saw how it would face if they continue smoking," said Grogan.
