Peanuts are usually a favorite snack while watching football, or other types of sporting events.

Antioxidant content in peanuts roasted with blueberries and blackberries, are also much higher than apples, tomatoes and beets.

2. Salted peanuts are not good for the arteries. One-fourth cup of peanuts contains unsaturated fatty acids as much as a teaspoon of olive oil. Unsaturated fats have a good reputation as lowering blood cholesterol levels.

3. High content of niacin in peanuts helps repair damaged cells, and is believed to prevent Alzheimer's and various health problems due to aging.

4. Peanuts contain vitamin E, which also is one of a family of antioxidants that can reduce the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease significantly.

5. Peanuts contain iron, which is very important to improve the function of red blood cells.

6. Peanuts are rich in calcium to maintain bone health.

7. Peanuts have a high bioflavonoid resveratrol. This substance helps blood flow to the brain, either to reduce the risk of stroke. Adding a few products that contain peanuts in the diet can reduce levels of bad cholesterol in the blood to 14 percent.

8. Fiber in peanuts helps lower the risk of colon cancer.

9. Peanuts are rich in protein, so that could be an option right nutrition for those who are undergoing the body's muscle building program.
